The NBA Playoff seedings are not always a true representation of where each team really is at in April. Looking at the Eastern Conference, the potential of the #3 seed Orlando Magic playing host to the current #6 seed Chicago Bulls is a perfect example.
The Bulls have been one of the hottest teams in the East down the stretch, stringing together five straight wins, and are marching up the playoff standings. The Magic, meanwhile, have struggled against some of the lower-echelon teams in the East, knocking themselves out of contention for the #2 spot with less than impressive effort.
Pretty good position-by-position analysis ... still not sure the Bulls can beat the Magic. I'd rather see a banged-up Celtics team. But I'm happy to see late season games that matter, and hear talk that we could (get lucky and) potentially win a playoff series.
